[Libya, 7 January 2020] – The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs told TG24 at the end of the Brussels quartet on Libya, “Today’s meeting was supposed to be held in Libya, but the important thing is that it has taken place. Starting tomorrow, the European Union’s initiatives towards Libya will witness a change of pace.”

“In Libya, we need to talk to everyone and convince them to ceasefire. We protect our interests when we ask the EU to be a protagonist,” Luigi Di Maio he explained.

“The situation on the ground in Libya is highly delicate but that does not mean the European Union should be immobile,” Luigi Di Maio continued.
