Sabha Security Room Captures a Senior ISIS Leader – Al Marsad

The Spokesperson of the Joint Security Room in Sabha, Ali al-Tarashani said that a senior ISIS leader was arrested in Sabha who had been planning to carry out terrorist attacks in the region.

In exclusive statements to Al-Ain News Website yesterday, on Saturday, Tarashani said that a pre-emptive operation was carried out and resulted in the capture of a Sudanese terrorist named Omar Fadel al-Saeed Mohamed al-Amin whose alias is “Abu Abdallah”. The detained Sudanese terrorist is a physician working for ISIS terrorist organization in Libya, particularly in the southern area of Sabha.

Tarashani added that the security and military apparatuses, along with the Security Room of Sabha broke into the detained terrorist’s hideout in Sabha where he was plotting in cooperation with other terrorists to carry out a terrorist act in the south of Libya.

The security official noted that the detained terrorist was transferred to a very confidential and safe place and an investigation is underway by the concerned authorities, adding that “The captured terrorist has so many secrets about ISIS cells in the south and in Libya generally.”
