[Libya, 28 March 2020] – Major General Idris Madi, in an interview with the London-based Al-Arab newspaper on Friday, confirmed that the militias of Fayez Al-Sarraj’s Government of National Accord (GNA) collapsed along the coastal line between the capital, Tripoli, and Ras Ajdir, the border crossing with Tunisia.

He also indicated that the army units arrived in the town of Abu Kammash, known locally as Bukamash, controlled by the pro-GNA forces about 20 kilometers east of Ras Ajdir crossing.

The commander of the Western Military Region added that the army forces, currently stationed near the border crossing, have not entering it due to political and diplomatic arrangements with Tunisia, as he put it.
