18 Ventilators and Various Medical Supplies Arrive in Tobruk – Al Marsad

The Director of the Medical Affairs Department at the Tobruk Medical Center, Dr. Adnan Boudiya, confirmed that on Saturday, 18 ventilators and various medical supplies arrived in Tobruk to equip the building which has been designated as a quarantine center.

[Libya, 30 March 2020] – In a statement to the Russian news agency, Sputnik, Boudiya said that the received equipment comprised of 18 ventilators, 18 vital signs monitors, 18 patient beds, 15 suction machines, 4 defibrillators, 20 trolleys, 5 patient stretchers, and 20 feeding pumps, and are meant to equip the newly designated COVID19 quarantine center, preparing for any cases that may arise in the city.

The director of the Medical Affairs Department pointed out that there are more equipments that will be arriving in the upcoming days under the advisement and supervision of the Libyan minister of health, Saad Yacoub, of the Libyan government in Benghazi, east of Libya, and that engineers are still working to setting up the equipment.
