Al-Zadmah: How Can We Trust Dialogue with a Government That Has Been Hostage to Turkey and Qatar? – Al Marsad

The Chair of the Reconciliation Committee in the Supreme Council of the Tribes of Libya, Zidan Maatouq Al-Zadmah, said that the solution agreed upon by many Libyans is to continue to support the national army in the battle to regain the capital and the Libyan state and maintain its sovereignty. He said, “The military solution is the decisive choice to save our country from the armed chaos it has been going through.”

[Libya, 13 May 2020] – Zidan Maatouq Al-Zadmah, in a statement to the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper on Wednesday, rejected the invitation to dialogue by the head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, saying: “The Presidential Council is not free to take any decision because the armed militias and terrorist groups that kidnapped the capital control it too. How can we trust dialogue with a government that has been hostage to Turkey and Qatar?”
