LNA General Command Denies Bombing Near Tripoli Central Hospital – Al Marsad

The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) denied in a statement that it bombed Zawiya Street area, the vicinity of the Tripoli Central Hospital, Al-Sur Road area, Al-Jumhuriyyah Street and the adjacent areas targeted a few hours ago by a barrage of shells.

(Libya, 14 May 2020) – The General Command stressed that the goal of this dirty policy of deliberately targeting civilians in populated areas far from any military facilities is exposed to justify more military intervention from their master Erdogan under the pretext of protecting civilians. The militias perpetrate this in coordination with the Turkish intelligence services.

The General Command added that the other goal of this bombing is to pit the people of Tripoli against the armed forces to attract more fighters in light of the reluctance of the capital’s youth to fight with the militias, the escape and death of a large number of Syrian militias, and the failure of many others to come from northern Syria to Libya.

“We pray to God Almighty to keep the civilians safe, shower His mercy on the martyrs, and help the wounded recover,” concluded the statement by the General Command.
