The Libyan Government Says Sheikh Makhlouf Sacrificed His Life Resisting Turkey’s Project in Libya – Al Marsad

The Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thini mourned Sheikh Abdullah Makhlouf, an Amazigh leader in Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi, specifically in his hometown Kabaw, where he was shot dead at noon on Friday.

(Libya, 17 May 2020) – The government said in a statement: “With profound sorrow and sadness, the Libyan government mourns the head of the Municipal Council in Kabaw, Sheikh Abdullah Makhlouf, who was assassinated by traitors because he stood against Turkey’s support of the armed terrorist militias in our country.”

“The late Sheikh Makhlouf has always sided with legitimacy and defended it and the holy war our valiant army is fighting to liberate all parts of Libya from the grip of terrorist groups. He has always opposed whoever supported the Turkish enemy trying in vain to invade our country.”

“The Libyan government expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family and the relatives of the deceased, praying to God to shower His mercy and forgiveness on him in these blessed days. His pure blood and all the blood of the righteous martyrs will not be in vain,” concluded the statement.
