In Pictures: Libyan Government Sends the Second Medical Shipment to Sebha – Al Marsad

The Medical Supply Authority in Sebha received the second shipment of medical supplies and equipment on Sunday from the Libyan Government to raise the readiness of the health sector in the south amidst the recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Libya, 1 June 2020) – Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thini directed the Minister of Health Dr. Saad Aqoub to send urgent supply convoys of medical devices, equipment, and supplies to Sebha through the government Medical Supply Authority.

Al-Thini called on the white army of physicians, assistant physicians, nurses, and health sector staff to choose volunteers to join the medical quarantine centres in the south to fill the shortage, especially after coronavirus cases were reported there.

Libya’s Prime Minister reiterated his appeal to the Libyans in the south to adhere to all preventive and precautionary measures called for by the High Consultative Medical Committee to combat the Coronavirus pandemic, stressing the need to adhere to the curfew, social distancing, and other necessary measures taken by the security and other authorities.
