Aguila Saleh says Germany Must Play a Major Role in Stopping Terrorist Crimes in Tarhouna – Al Marsad

Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Chancellor Aguila Saleh, met on Wednesday at his residence in the city of Qubbah with the German Ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza.

(Libya, 11 June 2020) – According to the HOR’s official website, the two sides discussed the latest political developments in Libya, ways to end the Libyan crisis, and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Chancellor Aguila Saleh stressed to the German ambassador that Germany should play a major role in stopping crimes against humanity committed by terrorist groups, militias, and armed gangs in Tarhouna.

He stressed the need for Germany to undertake a fundamental role in activating the outcomes of the Berlin Conference and the need for a ceasefire and support for the political process as per the initiative launched by President El-Sisi of Egypt and the provisions of the Cairo Declaration.

Chancellor Aguila Saleh also demanded the need of stop Turkish military intervention and its violation of Libya’s sovereignty, and preventing the flow of mercenaries and terrorists into Libya.
