Chancellor Aguila Saleh Meets with Algerian President to Discuss Libya Crisis – Al Marsad

The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Chancellor Aguila Saleh and his accompanying delegation met in the Algerian capital on Saturday, the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss the Cairo Declaration and the latest situation in Libya and way to end the crisis.

(Libya, 14 June 2020) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Chancellor Aguila Saleh said after the meeting, according to the official website of the Libyan Parliament, that the Algeria visit was  upon the invitation of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss the current situation in Libya and efforts to solve the conflict.

Chancellor Aguila Saleh said, “President Abdelmadjid Tebboune told us that they are with Libya and that he is at the disposal of Libyans and will strive with his colleagues, the Egyptian President and the Tunisian President, to be as one hand in order to solve the Libyan crisis.”

He added that the Algerian President was briefed on the Cairo Declaration and assured that he will do his utmost to unite Libyans in dialogue to reach a solution according to the outputs of the Berlin conference.
