Ready to Secure Embassies and Diplomatic Missions in Libya, Says Bashagha to Dutch Ambassador – Al Marsad

The boycotting member of the House of Representatives (HoR) for the city of Misrata and the delegated Minister of the Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha, met on Friday with the Dutch Ambassador to Libya, Lars Tummers.

(ibya, 26 September  2020) –According to a tweet by Bashagha, the meeting reviewed “our plans to ensure occupational safety and the possibilities of cooperation in the field of training and information exchange.”

“We thanked him for Netherlands’ role in supporting human rights in Libya by creating a fact-finding mission that will track Haftar militias and Russian Wagner mercenaries’ crimes,” claimed Bashagha in his tweet.

“It was a good opportunity to congratulate Ambassador Tummers for the return of embassy to Tripoli —currently partially—with hopes of full return soon. I also ensured our diplomatic security directorate readiness to secure embassies and diplomatic missions in Libya,” concluded Bashagha his tweet.
