LNA General Command: GNA’s Security Agreements with Qatar Undermine Geneva’s 5+5 Agreement – Al Marsad

The General Command of the Armed Forces issued today, Monday, a statement regarding the announcement of the signing of security agreements with Qatar by the Minister of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha.

(Libya, 26 October 2020) – In its statement, the LNA General Command indicated that what the State of Qatar, which is the largest supporter of terrorism, did in terms of using its so-called “agents in Libya” today, and signing what it called security agreements, was a violation of the outcomes of the Geneva 5+5 dialogue.

The General Command emphasized that the announcement was a malicious attempt to undermine what the Libyan army officers agreed upon in Geneva in terms of a ceasefire, stopping escalation, and ending destructive foreign intervention in Libyan affairs.
