Ghannouchi: Libya’s Muslim Brotherhood Wants Ennahda Help to Get Out of Current Ordeal – Al Marsad

The head of the Tunisian Ennahda movement, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, Rachid Ghannouchi, boasted in an interview with Tunisian TV about his relations with the Muslim Brotherhood organization in Libya, stressing identical vision between the two parties. Muslim Brotherhood organization in Libya, however, is classified as a terrorist group by the elected Parliament of Libya.

(Libya, 10 November 2020) – Tunisian Islamist Rachid Ghannouchi indicated that those whom he described as “the Muslim Brotherhood of Libya” wish to get help from the Ennahda movement to get out of what he described as their current plight.

Ghannouchi’s statements coincide with UNSMIL’s Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) sessions in Tunisia and in light of the actions of Fayez al-Sarraj’s government in Tripoli, which indicate, according to observers, that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the city soon.
