After Comments by Namroush, Sarraj Reviews Ceasefire Mechanism with GNA’s 5+5 Delegation – Al Marsad

The head of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez al-Sarraj, met Wednesday with representatives of the GNA in the 5 +5 Joint Military Commission. This visit follows in the wake of the comments made by pro-Turkey Defence Minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) Salah Al-Din al-Namroush who threatened the withdrawal of the GNA from the 5+5 military agreement and the recent UN-brokered ceasefire deal, claiming the LNA had launched an attack in Ubari violating the ceasefire agreement.

(Libya, 10 December 2020) — Fayez al-Sarraj on Wednesday discussed the details of the security arrangements related to the ceasefire and operational mechanism on the ground with GNA members in the 5+5 Joint Military Commission, according to the Interior Ministry’s media department.
