Turkey Hands Over to Misrata Municipality the “Turkish-Libyan Friendship Hospital” – Al Marsad

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) handed over the Libya-Turkey Friendship Hospital to Misrata Municipality.

(Libya, 22 December 2020) — According to the media office of the Health Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA), the establishment of the Turkish medical facility in Misrata comes within the framework of the joint comprehensive agreement signed between Ankara and Fayez al-Sarraj’s government.

The Turkish Ministry of Health will provide technical support and training to the hospital staff according to the cooperation protocol.

The hospital, consisting an area of around 2400 square metres, includes physiotherapy and emergency departments, in addition to 38 examination units and two treatment centres.
