Russian Foreign Ministry: Bogdanov meets Nayed in Moscow to Discuss Developments in Libya – Al Marsad

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today, Friday, that the President Putin’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and African Countries and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Mikhail Bogdanov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Ihya Libya (Reviving Libya) Bloc, Dr Aref Ali Nayed, and its political advisor, Mohammed Busafita, at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Moscow.

(Libya, 25 December 2020) – The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Bogdanov and Nayed had “a substantial exchange of opinions on the developments in Libya and its surroundings, with an emphasis on a comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis in accordance with the decisions of the Berlin international conference and the provisions of UNSC Resolution 2510, aimed at securing unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.”

Nayed stated, according to the media office of the Ihya Libya Bloc, that the meeting focused on developments in Libya, and ways to achieve peace and solve the current economic and political problems that Libyan citizens continue to face in the country.
