It reiterated the GCC’s “keenness to preserve the interests of the brotherly Libyan people, and to the security, stability and unity of the Libyan territories, as well as to support the efforts being made to confront the so-called (ISIS) terrorist organization.”

The statement concluded by stressing that Libyan national interests must remain above all considerations to reach “a permanent solution that guarantees security and stability for the brotherly Libyan people as well as their sovereignty over their territories and wealth and prevents external interference that endangers Arab regional security.”
