Women Members of the Dialogue Committee are calling for the United Nations to Immediately Disclose UN Panel of Experts Report to the Security Council

We are the members of the Political Dialogue Committee who have been wrongly accused of irresponsible charges of receiving bribes and corruption; we, hereby, submit a request to the Office of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to disclose all that was mentioned in the report of the United Nations’ Panel of Experts, which was submitted to the Security Council, to the public opinion in order to put an end to the rumours that jeopardise the entire political process, and personally affects us, along with some other members, unjustly and irresponsibly, with charges that challenge our integrity and honour in order to defame us—in a manner that does not comply with values and morals—by people and pages who have been stripped of all norms, and violated all rights, and exceeded all limits to challenge our integrity. On our part, we demand that legal and judicial measures be taken against them.

We also call on UNSMIL, on the basis of the responsibility entrusted to it, and its keen follow-up on this important political path that pushes towards the stability of Libya and the unification of its institutions and the removal of the spectre of war; to reach Parliamentary and Presidential elections by the end of this year; on the anniversary of Libya’s Independence on 24 December 2021, and also to take the necessary and legal measures to put an end to the violations against all who participated on the repercussions of this dangerous stage in our country’s history, which puts us at a crossroads between either peace and stability or war and destruction.

Kindly accept our utmost respect and appreciation

May God Preserve Libya

Dr. Sultana Masoud Al-Mesmari
