El-Sisi and Mitsotakis Discuss the Developments in Libya and Coordination and Consultation – Al Marsad

President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a call from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to discuss developments in Libya and the region.

(Libya, 18 March 2021) – According to an official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, El-Sisi and Mitsotakis examined the latest developments in the Libyan file, and emphasized the need for continued consultation and coordination on issues of common concern. The said the Libyan file was important Greece and Egypt and the countries of the region in general.

These developments follow the swearing in of the new executive authority, composed of the President of the new Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi and his two deputies Abdullah al-Lafi and Musa al-Koni, and the head of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba and his cabinet before the House of Representatives (HoR), and handed over their functions from the previous authorities.
