Al-Menfi Tells Mitsotakis that All Agreements Between Libya and Greece Must be Activated – Al Marsad

Head of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Menfi received the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on Tuesday in Tripoli, and discussed bilateral cooperation between Libya and Greece.

(LIBYA, 7 April 2021) – The meeting discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields and addressed the formation of joint committees, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla al-Mangoush. Prime Minister Mitsotakis was accompanied by Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias.

The Greek Prime Minister stressed the importance of restoring diplomatic relations between the two countries, increase diplomatic representation in Libya and the opening of airspace between the two sides.

Al-Menfi said that there will be cooperation between Libya and Greece in the economic and investment field. He emphasized the activation of agreements in all fields to serve the interests of the two peoples.
