Hulusi Akar: Turkish Armed Forces Will Continue Their Struggle in Libya – Al Marsad

Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defense of Turkey, said on Sunday that the Turkish armed forces will continue what he described as their “struggle” inside and outside the country, especially in Libya, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kosovo and Sudan.

(Libya, 3 May 2021) – According to Sputnik Russian Agency, Hulusi Akar said in a speech during his visit to the Turkish military base in northern Iraq, accompanied by the Chief of Staff and the commander of the ground forces: “We will protect our rights and interests, on the one hand, and we will stand by our friends and brothers in their just causes, on the other hand.”

The comments came as the the Foreign Minister of the interim Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla al-Mangoush, the 5+5 Joint Military Commission, and the UN, EU, the US and the international community, have all been firm in demanding that all foreign forces and mercenaries, including Turkish forces, leave Libyan soil.
