Al-Sharkasi: It’s a Crime to Tamper with the December Elections – Al Marsad

Member of the Advisory Committee of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF), Ahmed al-Sharkasi, described the proposal to postpone the December elections as a “historic crime.”

(LIBYA, 2 July 2021) – In a post on his personal page on Facebook, the Advisory Committee member of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF), Ahmed al-Sharkasi, said: “I will not part in a historic crime  if a vote is take on the proposal to postpone the elections, which was is implicit in declaring a referendum before the elections, and is a clear violation of the Roadmap and the decisions of the Security Council.”

He added: “I will announce my withdrawal from this tampering if they go ahead with that, and I will demand scrutiny of the entire Roadmap again, including the existing executive authority if the elections are obstructed.”
