Zakharova Urges Washington to “Remove Its Traces” from Libya – Al Marsad

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on the US to “remove its traces” from Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.

(LIBYA, 27 July 2021) – The RT website quoted Maria Zakharova saying that “perhaps before the US body focuses on threats in the Middle East, it should remove its small traces in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Syria,” referring to America’s disruptive role in the region and the world.”

The comments by Zakharova were in response to statements by the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Forces, John Hyten, who had said earlier that the US, seeing developments in Afghanistan and Iraq, “should not ignore the threats in the Middle East, but rather deal with them differently, leaving small footprints so that our body is more focused on threats from China and Russia.”
