Supreme Council of Libyan Tribes and Cities Visits Central Region Today – Al Marsad

Chairman of the Supreme Council of Libyan Tribes and Cities (SCLTC) in the Central Region, Mahmoud Abu Rawi, accompanied by members of the Council, Al-Senussi al-Kaseh, Abdulla Bushgaifa and Ahmed al-Houni, conducted a field visit to Libya’s Central Region today.

The delegation from the SCLTC discussed topics of interest to the area and its role in the upcoming general elections. They affirmed the need to hold the simultaneous Presidential and Parliamentary Elections on their stipulated date on 24 December 2021. They also stressed the need to mobilize pan-Libya national efforts at the grassroots’ level, and to respect the freedom of electoral choice.

The SCLTC delegation congratulated the issuance of Law No. (1) of 2021 regarding the election of the head of state and his competences. They also called on all officials in the country to give priority to public interest, abstain from pursuing narrow private interests, and focus only on the supreme interests of Libya.
