Embassies of US, France, Germany, Italy and UK Welcome Williams Arrival in Libya and Support Election Efforts – Al Marsad

The United States, France, Germany, Italy and UK have expressed their official position on the appointment of Stephanie Williams to the position of Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on the Libyan crisis.

According to a tweet from the US Embassy in the capital, Tripoli, the embassies of the five countries warmly welcomed Williams’ arrival to Libya.

The five countries stressed their full support for her efforts to help the Libyans conduct peaceful, free, fair, inclusive and credible Presidential and Parliamentary elections that pave the way for a united and stable future for Libya.
