HoR’s Election Monitoring Committee Recommends Restructuring of the Executive Authority – Al Marsad

The Election Monitoring Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) recommended that the executive authority in the country should be restructured.

According to the report submitted by the Election Monitoring Committee to the HoR, the interim National Unity Government (GNU) was unable to provide the necessary stability for the elections. The report criticized the presidential candidacy of the GNU Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba, because this led to a clash with principles of justice and equality.

The report stressed the need to amend the constitution with the participation of the advisory State Council and to set a realistic Roadmap for holding elections.
